Who will know about my IVA?

It’s bad enough having to deal with the stress and pressure coming from creditors, but if anyone found out it would devastate a lot of people. This is why; we try to keep an IVA as personal as we possibly can.
We value your privacy; therefore we will establish an agreement with you stating who you choose to be informed of your decision to file an IVA.
Depending on your personal circumstances the answers to the people that are entitled to know about you filing for an IVA differ. If you are a tenant, or live with your parents, no one would ever have to know about you filing for an IVA.
The reasons why many people are not obligated to know about your IVA are because this agreement is specifically between you and your creditors. An IVA is defined as an Individual Voluntary Agreement, contrary to bankruptcies no one ever has to know about your financial hardship. The only people that will know are the fine folks at Just Debts; this is because we will be working right alongside you to help rectify your present debt situation.
After an IVA has been agreed upon by your creditors, it is then recorded on the IVA register. This database however is made public.
